SENSORCARE |
 |
The SensorCare Monitor is an electro-mechanical device for discreetly monitoring movement from the bed and relaying this information to a remote source. The mobile unit is used to support independance, to aid assessment and rehabilitation and to give added protection in high dependancy care.
A sensor panel is located under the mattress and the control unit is placed in a convenient position for the carer to operate. A link connects the monitor into the nurse call system when required.
As the person moves from the bed in any direction, a change of pressure is detected. The monitor relays the information to the carer, allowing appropriate action to be taken.
An audible and visual alert gives pre-awareness to staff that help may be required with mobility, continence management or general care.

RESULTS TO DATE...
Extensive experience of users has produced excellent results in the decrease of falls and injuries. Important additional benefits have emerged along with the prime objective of risk management. Observation in all areas of care have identified a significant reduction of patient agititaion, improved continence management, better sleep patterns and reduced wandering. The reassurance generated by the spontaneous call facility is now used to support the general care process. |
