Sensorium - Caring with Technology

Introduction

The role of the carer is often very demanding leaving them tired and in need of care themselves! The use of assistive technology can support the care process by acting as a "second pair of eyes" for the carer. The monitoring systems shown in this website are non-invasive and in this way can maintain a reasonable level of independence for the user.

History

Sensorium was founded in 1994 as the Scottish Dealers & Distributors for the following manufacturers products:

Our niche market has evolved mainly within the healthcare industry, having built on our reputation* and successfully become the preferred supplier of "Integrated System Solutions" to many NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Charitable and Private Care Organisations.

Over the past few years we have developed and produced a wide range of Assistive Technology products, which address the growing community care environment, particularly with passive monitoring devices to assist in the care of individuals with special needs, such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, Epilepsy & Learning Difficulties. Our current product range includes some of the most advanced call systems on the market. Combined with product integration using multiple technologies, we can offer bespoke system solutions not readily available from any other supplier.

* We pride ourselves in the fact that our business has been built on reputation and word of mouth. 75% of our turnover is repeat business from regular clients with whom we have developed a longstanding relationship. 95% of our new business is generated through referrals. We spend less money on advertising than any other comparable company.
